The name of this local Greek restaurant is Mandragoras(the name is taken from a plant which is really rare to find in Greek forests). What’s going on here every night? Two brothers and their sister running this restaurant and serving one of the best creative Greek food you can find in Athens yet at great prices.
Their secret is that every few days they change the menu, so even for locals who use to go there every week, they never get bored.. one of those is me! Of course there are some standard plates like the fried goat cheese with a homemade marmalade which is a must, and the chicken kontosouvli.
There you can find unique flavors with fresh ingredients, with few words? you never get bored! Also not forget to mention that it is a very cozy place located in a peaceful spot that only the locals know how to find it. Vasilis the waiter and his sister will take care of you… Enjoy and send them regards from Dimitris, probably you will get a dessert on the house!
